Sixteen get life term for murdering a man in Asifabad
The 16 persons were booked for allegedly hacking Ramesh to death and attacking his wife Renuka with sticks and stones while they were returning from his farm
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A court in Asifabad on Wednesday sentenced 16 persons to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs.1.49 lakh by convicting them for murdering a man four years ago.
Asifabad Sessions Court judge MV Ramesh pronounced the verdict awarding the term against Jarpula Suresh, Jarpula Satyavathi, Ajmeera Vasanth Rao, Jarpula Tikya Naik, Jarpula Harish, Ajmeera Aravind, Ajmeera Navin, Ajmeera Praveen, Ajmeera Santosh, Ajmeera Praveen Kumar, Jarpula Laxmi, Jarpula Rajitha, Jarpula Thukuram, Jarpula Ravi, Jarpula Raju and Jarpula Bikya Naik all belonging to Singleguda village in Rebbena mandal by finding them guilty in murdering Ajmeera Ramesh on August 19 in 2020.
The 16 persons were booked for allegedly hacking Ramesh to death and attacking his wife Renuka with sticks and stones while they were returning from his farm. They together attacked Ramesh bearing a grudge against him after he had spotted Jarpula Suresh misbehaving with Renuka.
The then Rebbena Sub-Inspector D Ramesh booked the case and took up investigations. Superintendent of Police DV Srinivas Rao commended Rebbena Inspector Chittibabu and SI Ramesh for securing conviction.
