SLBC tunnel mishap: Rescue operations under way round the clock

Special Chief Secretary stresses need for seamless coordination among teams

Hyderabad: Rescue operations inside the SLBC tunnel, which have been ongoing for three weeks, are now continuing 24/7. Special Chief Secretary (Disaster Management) Arvind Kumar conducted a team-wise review of the progress and emphasised the need for seamless coordination among teams on Saturday.

Critical arrangements, including oxygen supply, medical care, food, and clean drinking water were provided to meet emergency needs. Safety measures for rescue teams operating inside the tunnel have been prioritised. Stringent protocols were also put in place to ensure their safety, according to officials.
