SLG hospitals vaccinates visually impaired at two Govt homes

Founder of Rohini Foundation, Dr Ch Sampath Reddy said that visually impaired individuals could have got adversely impacted by Covid for no fault of theirs.

Hyderabad: SLG Hospitals in collaboration with Rohini Foundation vaccinated 100 visually impaired women and men at two Government-run homes here on Monday. Among those who received the Covid vaccines included 51 women from the Government Hostel for Visually Handicapped Women, Saroornagar and 49 men at the Government Home for Visually Handicapped Men, Moosarambagh.

“Vaccinating all is the only way out of this ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, and we are happy and proud to have played a role in inoculating these women and men at Government-run homes. These members were administered first dose of Covishield, and whenever they are eligible, a second dose will be given to them by our hospital staff,” DVS Soma Raju, Executive Director, SLG Hospitals, said.

Founder of Rohini Foundation, Dr Ch Sampath Reddy said that visually impaired individuals could have got adversely impacted by Covid for no fault of theirs. “Vaccinating such individuals is an important step in containing the virus,” he said.
