Medak: A sloth bear was found dead on the outskirts of Jhansi Lingapur in Ramayampet mandal on Friday morning. The farmers, who were heading to agriculture fields, found the carcass of the sloth bear close to their fields.
The villagers have called the forest officials immediately. After initial examination, the officials felt that it was a natural death. The cause of death could be sickness or age related issues.
The presence of sloth bears close to their fields left the farmers in a shock. The officials also suggested the farmers to stay on alert since there could be more sloth bears on the prowl in the area.
