Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based Small and Medium Business Excellence (SMBXL), which is empowering and enabling small businesses by equipping them with business intelligence tools and processes to allow them to go digital, plans to increase its active users from over 21,000 today spread across 800 cities to over 3,00,000 in next 18 months, keeping in view there are over 63 million registered SMEs in India.

SMBXL supports businesses create free online presence, perform high-impact digital marketing activities to reach more customers and connect with other business owners to expand their business network pan-India. The company is exploring collaborations with small businesses and artisans in and around Hyderabad to digitalise their business.

SMBXL co-founder & COO Preeti Ubale told Telangana Today, “We offer cloud-based solutions for MSMEs. We built our company ground up based on what the businesses needed. These companies needed help in managing their entire customer lifecycle. Our solutions have helped their business grow at least 25 per cent by turning the business which was primarily offline to become online. Covid has not been kind to small businesses and such tools help them in business revival and growth.”

“Since our launch of solutions, not only businesses in large cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai have used our solutions but also smaller cities such as Siliguri. The best part in working with small businesses is that they are always open to innovative ideas that can help their business grow. Our solutions are vertical agnostic. We not only cater to product-based businesses but also services. We may look at supporting businesses in helping them improve exports, going forward,” he added.

Digital solutions

SMBXL’s Do-It-Yourself (DIY) digital solutions for MSMEs include business management, marketing, sales, procurement, and customer engagement. These products can be used by any business owner with little or no technical knowledge or external support.

SMBXL has two SaaS-based DIY products. MarketCentral offers its customers digital commerce. The company provides all the services any business would need to setup their online presence – starting from creating a fully transactional business website, billing, digital marketing to networking. This is easy for businesses to adopt and start using it without prior technical expertise. It helps businesses bring business.

BusinessCentral is an ERP (enterprise resource planning) designed to cater to the changing needs of MSMEs. It can be used for day-to-day business management including sales, customers, invoices, products, purchases, inventory, suppliers, and accounting. It helps firms manage their business.

The company, which began its operations in December 2018, has seen its team doubling during the pandemic. SMBXL is looking at investors who will bring expertise to the board.
