Society of Geologists to hold workshop on AI on July 18

Hyderabad: Society of Geologists is conducting an interactive workshop on ‘Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Geoscience’ on July 18 from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm at Conference Hall, Principal’s Office, University College of Science, Osmania University.
Dr D Karuna Sagar, Senior Professor of Physics and Dean, Faculty of Science, Osmania University, will be the chief guest and Prof.G Prabhakar, Principal, University College of Science and Chairperson, BoS, Osmania University, and Prof I Panduranga Reddy, Director, Directorate of Admissions and Head, Department of Geology, Osmania University, will be the guests of honour. Convenor and chairman of the workshop is A Dinakar Babu.
Geoscientists including Dr Satyanarayana Yegireddi, Dr VK Rao, Dr Narendra Pendkar will be talking on the theme and how AI is transforming the field of geology by enabling more efficient data analysis, predictive modelling, and the discovery of new geological insights.
