Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) has registered best figures in terms of revenue by achieving the highest ever Gross Originating Revenue of Rs 20,452 crore, backed by excellent performance in both freight and passenger segments.

This is also Rs 117 crore more than the previous best of Rs 20,335 crore achieved during 2023-24.

Railway officials said the feat was possible because of the development of freight infrastructure, ensuring the availability of wagons, monitoring the path and movement of freight trains, improving the work atmosphere in goods sheds, etc.

These efforts, combined with policy initiatives introduced from time to time, culminated in SCR achieving its highest-ever revenue.

Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, SCR, commended the efforts of his team of officers and staff for this stupendous achievement.
