South Central Railway records highest-ever revenue of Rs 21,211.92 crore
South Central Railway achieved its highest-ever gross originating revenue of Rs 21,211.92 crore in 2025-26, led by record freight and passenger earnings. The GM credited the milestone to staff efforts, operational efficiency, and a focus on customer service.

Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) has recorded its highest-ever gross originating revenue of Rs 21,211.92 crore during the financial year 2025-26, marking an increase of 3.12 per cent compared to the previous year.
The zone continued its strong performance for the fourth consecutive year, driven by growth in both freight and passenger segments. Freight earnings stood at Rs 13,835.27 crore with a loading of 147.87 million tonnes, while passenger revenue reached a record Rs 6,235.37 crore, up 9.11 per cent from last year.
SCR also earned Rs 515.18 crore from other coaching services and Rs 626.10 crore through sundry streams such as parking and catering, registering significant growth.
General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava lauded the efforts of staff, attributing the achievement to teamwork and a focus on efficiency and customer service.
