South Central Railway to run 170 special trains during Diwali, Chhath and Dussehra 2025

SCR will operate 170 special trains from August to December 2025 to handle festive travel during Diwali, Chhath, and Dussehra. Key routes include Charlapalli, Tirupati, Velankanni, SMVT Bengaluru, and Yesvantpur. Advance reservations are advised for smooth travel.

Hyderabad: To handle the festive rush during Diwali, Chhath and Dussehra festivals, the South Central Railway (SCR) will run as many as 170 special trains between August and December 2025, covering major destinations across India.

The special trains include Charlapalli – Raxaul – Charlapalli (07005 / 07006) running between October 6 and Nov 27, Tirupati – Charlapalli – Tirupati (07481 / 07482) running between September 7 and 29, Charlapalli – Tirupati – Charlapalli (07011 / 07012) running between September 5 and 27.


Similarly, Charlapalli – Velankanni – Charlapalli (07093 / 07094) will run between September 4 and 5 and Narasapur – SMVT Bengaluru – Narasapur (07153 / 07154) running between October 3 and December 27 and Tirupati – Hisar – Tirupati (07717 / 07718) running between October 1 and November 30.

Likewise, the Dharmavaram – Nanded – Dharmavaram (07109 / 07110) will run between September 5 and 28, Bidar – SMVT Bengaluru – Bidar (06550 / 06539) will run between August 27 and September 28.

Similarly, the Jalna – Chhapra – Jalna (07651 / 07652) train will run between August 27 and November 28 and Yesvantpur – Dhanbad – Yesvantpur (06563 / 06564) will run between August 23 and December 29.

SCR said these trains will consist of 1AC, 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper and General Second Class coaches.

Railway authorities urged passengers to make advance reservations to ensure smooth travel during the festive season.
