Hyderabad: As part of a special drive on sweet shops for food safety issues, the GHMC officials conducted raids on second consecutive day on Thursday in the city.

During raids on 10 food establishments located in LB Nagar, Kothapet, Charminar, Ramanathpur, Serilingampally, Beeramguda and Macha Bollarum, the inspection teams noticed that the managements were doing business without obtaining a valid FSSAI licence and registration.

The officials directed the operators to suspend the food business operations immediately until they acquire valid FSSAI licences. So far, the GHMC conducted raids on 79 food establishments within two days in the city.
