Spectacular celebration of Lord Rama’s Pattabhishekam at Bhadradri
The priests brought festival deities from the main temple to the stadium amid chanting of Vedic mantras and performed the coronation rituals according to the temple traditions.

Kothagudem: The ‘Pattabhishekam’ (Coronation) ceremony of Lord Rama was performed in a spectacular manner at Bhadrachalam’s Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Devasthanam, popularly known as ‘Dakshina Ayodhya’ on Monday
The ceremony took place at Mithila Stadium in the main temple premises. The priests brought festival deities from the main temple to the stadium amid chanting of Vedic mantras and performed the coronation rituals according to the temple traditions.
The rituals were performed by chief priests Amaravadi Vijayaraghavan and Koti Ramaswaropa Raghavacharyulu, archaka Brahma Amaravadi Srinivasa Ramajunam under the guidance of sthanacharyulu KE Sthalasai.
Lord Rama was adorned with ornaments like Chintaku Patakam, sword, golden umbrella and golden ‘padukalu’, besides the scepter and royal seal marking the occasion. Lord Anjaneya was adorned with a necklace of pearls. Prior to the coronation ceremony the priests conducted special pujas in the main temple.
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma attended the ceremony and presented silk clothes to the presiding deity. Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, district Collector Jitesh V Patil, SP B Rohith Raju, ITDA PO B Rahul also attended the ceremony.
