Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan, along with officials from the HMDA and GHMC, inspected the ongoing drainage works near Durgam Cheruvu on Thursday and instructed officials to resolve the drainage issues at the earliest.
The HMWSSB was directed to complete the sewerage line works without causing inconvenience to daily walkers. Karnan also visited the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Durgam Cheruvu and instructed the Water Board to get the treated water tested by a third-party agency.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner also reviewed various civic issues, including streetlights, sanitation, desilting, and tax collections. He directed officials to address streetlight complaints on a war footing, noting that numerous grievances were being received. He emphasized the need for field inspections to ensure timely resolution.
