Medak: Medak district in-charge Collector P Venkatrami Reddy has instructed the officials to expedite the Mission Bhagiratha works under Ramayampet Municipality to supply potable water to all the households by February 25.
Speaking at a review meeting with officials of Mission Bhagiratha and civic authorities in the presence of Medak MLA M Padma Devendar Reddy on Tuesday, the Collector said works pertaining to all the 5,168 houses must be completed by the set deadline in addition to providing tap connections to houses under construction.
Suggesting that the civic officials and elected representatives make collective efforts to lay a strong platform for the development of the Municipality, Reddy appointed special officers to all the 12 wards of the municipality to execute Mission Bagiratha works. Directing them to design a map for laying pipelines initially to complete the works, the Collector instructed them to take all the care to avoid the intersection of drinking water pipelines with drainage pipelines. He instructed them to complete the new road works wherever they dig them for laying pipelines.
RDO Sairam, SE Raghuveer, EE Kamalakar, DE Srinivas, AE Biksapathi and others were present. Later the Collector and MLA inspected the works of double bedroom houses under construction. The MLA distributed Kalayana Lakshmi cheques to beneficiaries.
