Speeding bus rams into shops in Bandlaguda, one killed, two injured

Police said the victim, Mohd Hassan (45), a resident of Riyasatnagar, was at his shop on Bandlaguda Road along with his employee Pasha when a speeding bus crashed into the premises.

Hyderabad: A man was killed and two others injured when a private bus ran into roadside shops at Bandlaguda on Sunday afternoon.

According to the police, the victim Mohd Hassan (45), a resident of Riyasatnagar was at his shop along with his worker Pasha, when a speeding bus ran into the shop located at Bandlaguda road.


Hassan was run over by the bus and died on the spot while Pasha managed to escape from the spot. The driver of the bus was reportedly in an inebriated condition.

“Apparently, the bus was at a high speed and the driver failed to control the bus while negotiating a curve and rammed into the shop,” said Bandlaguda police. A case is registered and the body shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.
