Hyderabad: A police complaint was lodged by a man alleging the milk he bought from a nearby super market got spoiled in Kukatpally.
The complainant in his complaint on Monday stated that he purchased two packets of Heritage Toned Milk from Ratnadeep Super Market located within Marina Skies community on Sunday.
While one packet was opened on the same day was found to be in good condition. However, on Monday, when they opened the second packet to prepare tea, noticed a foul smell.
They then poured the milk into two small bowls and boiled it, but in both cases, the milk was found to be spoiled.
“It appears to be a case of negligence either at the supermarket or during distribution. Had we used the milk without noticing the smell, it could have posed a serious health risk to my family, ” he alleged.
This amounts to a rash and negligent act on the part of those responsible, including the supermarket staff and their suppliers, he said.
The complainant sought to take appropriate criminal action against the store manager, the staff at the distribution point, and anyone else responsible from the management of Ratnadeep Super Market.
Based on the complaint, the Kukatpally police have booked a case and are investigating.
