Mancherial: The quick response of a TGSRTC bus driver averted a major accident for more than 70 passengers after the vehicle was suddenly engulfed in smoke, reportedly due to brake liner failure, at Gudipet village in Hajipur mandal on Thursday evening.
Police said the bus, belonging to the Korutla depot, was travelling from Mancherial to Korutla with 77 passengers on board. The driver halted the vehicle as soon as he noticed smoke coming from the wheels after the brake liners failed near Gudipet.
