Sport O Fit and Kanchanbagh clinched the under-9 and under-7 titles respectively at the Champions Cup eight-a-side football tournament held in Bolarum. Varid scored the winner in the under-7 final

Hyderabad: Sport O Fit and Kanchanbagh won the under-9 and under-7 titles respectively in the Champions Cup eight-a-side football tournament organised by Friends Club (Bolarum) here.

In the under-9 final, Sport O Fit scored a 3-0 win against Knock-out FC (Bolarum), while Kanchanbagh notched up a 1-0 win against Gundrala Kantharao Lakshmi FC, with Varid netting the match-winner.


E S Shyam of State Bank of India and AFC A-License holder gave away the prizes.

The results: Under-7: Semifinals: Kanchanbagh 2 (Varid, Ayush) bt St Michael’s 0
Gundrala Kantharao Lakshmi FC 2 (Rikki 2) bt Knock-out FC, Alwal 0

Final: Kanchanbagh 1 (Varid) bt GKL 0

Under-9: Semifinals: St Michael’s 2 (Jay 2) bt East Hyd FC 0
Sport O Fit 3 (Ayansh, Sriyan, Nikhil) bt Knock-out FC 0

Final: Sport O Fit 2 (Sriyan, Nikhil) bt St Michael’s 1 (Jay)
