Hyderabad: Around 50 State sports associations, which are affiliated to the Telangana State Olympic Association, met Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) chief A Venkateshwar Reddy seeking financial help for various developmental activities, at the SATS chamber in Lal Bahadur Stadium on Thursday.
The Chairman said the State government is doing everything to promote the sport in the State and assured that all the grievances of the sports bodies will be solved soon. The representatives of the sports bodies said they need financial assistance to run the body and athletes.
Meanwhile, Mayur and Waheed, who run an NGO Niram, were part of the meeting and they came forward to provide financial assistance for the development of the sports in the State. The meeting was attended by State Olympic Association in-charge president and former Union Minister Venugapal Chary, secretary Jagdivshwar Yadav, SATS officials Sujatha, Chandra Reddy, Dhana Laxmi, Prem Raj and others along with the secretaries of sports associations.
