Sports briefs: Ayaansh, Adhya emerge champions in sub-junior tennis
K Ayaansh and G Adhya Reddy won the boys’ and girls’ under-10 titles at the Hyderabad District sub-junior tennis tournament. Ayaansh also won the under-12 boys’ title, while Aleeza Simra claimed the girls’ crown

Hyderabad: K Ayaansh and G Adhya Reddy won the boys and girls under-10 titles respectively in the Hyderabad District sub-junior tennis programme tournament at Lake View Tennis Academy here.
Ayaansh defeated Suryansh Reddy 8-1 in the boys’ final, while Adhya recorded an 8-0 win against Krishvi Ratna.
In the under-12 category, G. Ayaansh defeated B. Aarav 8-5, while Aleeza Simra scored an 8-1 win against D.Swecha in the girls’ final.

Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women’s University won the Rev Fr T J Balaiah memorial inter-college volleyball tournament, defeating Loyola College 25-12, 25-17 in the final.

TG team qualifies for Phase 1
Telangana men’s recurve team qualified for Phase 1 of the Khelo India Tribal Nationals to be held in Chhattisgarh.
The State team comprising K Ashwith Dora, E. Anand and K. Laxman finished fourth in the team eliminations round at the Khelo India tribal national phase II at the Yamuna Sports Complex in Delhi.
“This achievement highlights the team’s strong performance and dedication at the national level,” according to P. Shankaraiah, a well-known archery coach from Khammam.
