Hyderabad: Hyderabad began the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T-20 cricket championship campaign in style with a five-wicket win against Madhya Pradesh in the first round in Kolkata on Wednesday.
Batting first, MP scored 144 for nine in 20 overs with left-arm pacer Chama Milind (three for 34) being the main wicket-taker.
In reply, Hyderabad reached the target in the 19th over thanks to a fine knock by Buddhi Rahul (59 n.o.).
The scores: At Kolkata: Madhya Pradesh 144/9 in 20 overs (Shivang Kumar 45, CV Milind 3/34) lost to Hyderabad 145/5 in 18.1 overs (Buddhi Rahul 59 no).

State junior chess on November 29
Telangana Junior (under-19) chess championship to pick the State players for the coming Nationals will be held from November 29 to 30 at Dacha Laxmaiah Kalyana Mandupam in Wanaparthy district for boys and girls separately.
The top seven from both the boys and girls sections will be selected for the State teams.
