Hyderabad: Inaugurating the Fit India Freedom Run – Fit Telangana Run at the Lal Bahadur Stadium in city on Friday, State Sports Minister V Srininvas Goud said that one should make sports and physical activities as part of their lifestyle to make the State a healthy one.
He also lauded Sports Authority of India (SAI) programme Fit India campaign which was inaugurated on August 15 in a bid to create awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle. “In the current situation, it is important that everyone should stay healthy by walking, or jogging. It will improve our immunity levels and creating awareness is the sole reason for this Fit Telangana Run moment,” he said after the run. He further said that whoever participating in the run in districts should follow physical distancing during the event.
National chief badminton coach Pullela Gopichand, Badminton Association of Telangana vice president V Chamundeswaranath were also present. Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) chairman A Venkateshwar Reddy also called for a healthy lifestyle in the State by incorporating some physical activity in everyday’s life.
