Hyderabad: Sports Minister V Srinivas Goud felicitated Telangana kickboxers M Lahari Girish and Ashish Chand who returned with medals from the World Kickboxing Championship, Cairo in Egypt, recently.
The 13-year-old Lahari won a gold medal in the sub-junior category while Ashsih Chand won gold in the 54kg category. The Minister lauded the youngsters saying that their feat in the world championship was commendable. He also revealed that the State government, under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, is promoting sports in a big way and will continue to do so.
