Sports Minister vows to support Siddipet mountaineer Vihan Ram
Young mountaineer Jatoth Vihan Ram from Siddipet met Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari after scaling major peaks, including Mt Kilimanjaro and Mount Kosciuszko. The minister assured support for his ambition to complete the Seven Summits while continuing his anti-drug awareness campaign.

Siddipet: Young mountaineer from Siddipet, Jatoth Vihan Ram, met Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari at his residence in the MLA Quarters in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The Sports Minister appreciated and felicitated Vihan Ram, who successfully scaled Mt Kilimanjaro and Mount Kosciuszko, the tallest mountains in Africa and Australia respectively, and Mt Pathalus, one of the tallest mountains in the Himalayas.
Vihan Ram is regarded as a crusader against drug abuse. He carries a “Say No to Drugs” banner with him and displays it on the mountains after scaling them. Vihan Ram has entered the Indian Book of Records and International Book of Records and won the Telangana Excellence Award-2026.
During the interaction with the Sports Minister, Vihan Ram expressed his strong desire to complete the Seven Summits by climbing the tallest mountains on each of the seven continents. Srihari assured him of support in his future endeavours. His father, Tirupathi Nayak, a resident of Hanuma Thanda in Dhoolmitta Thanda of Siddipet district, also accompanied him.
