Sri Charan Sandipagu wins Hyderabad Open Rapid chess tournament

Sri Charan Sandipagu won the Open Rapid chess tournament in Hyderabad, edging past Kandi Santosh Sai Karthik on tie-break after both finished with 5.5 points. Charan secured the top prize, while Karthik settled for the runner-up position.

Hyderabad: Sri Charan Sandipau of Hyderabad won the Open Rapid prize money chess tournament.
Despite tying with Kandi Santosh Sai Karthik with 5.5 points each, Charan emerged winner by vulkrtje of the break rule.

The winner received a cash prize of Rs. 4000 and the runner up got Rs. 3000.
