Hyderabad: Sri Ramanuja Sahasrabdi celebrations will be held from February 2 to 14 at Divya Saketham located at Muchintal of Shamshabad on the outskirts of the city.
As part of the celebrations, the 16.5-metre statue of Sri Ramanuja (Statue of Equality) will be unveiled at the Divya Saketham.
On Tuesday, Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy along with My Home Group Founder Rameswar Rao Jupally met Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi and extended him an invite for celebrations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be unveiling the 216 ft statue, said to be the second tallest in seated position depicting Ramanujacharya, to commemorate his sahasrabdi.
The first phase of Rs 1,000 crore project comprises the statue, parikrama and temple.
President Ramnath Kovind, Vice President M.Venkaiah Naidu, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, several Union Ministers and others from across the globe are expected to grace the inaugural function and arrangements are being made accordingly.
