Hyderabad: In an attempt to counter the BRS charges on the controversial Hyderabad Industrial Land Transfer policy, Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu on Monday claimed the policy applied only to ‘freehold’ lands and not to ‘Government leased lands’, either in industrial parks or standalone.
This policy envisages re-development of old industrial park layouts and improved infrastructure at standalone industrial localities by levying Development Impact Fee, which also permits Change of Land Use (CLU), he said, claiming that there was no land title transfer or freehold of government lands involved.
Detailed operational guidelines on the modalities and incentives for industries’ relocation to shift beyond ORR would be issued in a time-bound manner, he said.
