Narayanpet: Former Minister V Srinivas Goud urged the Congress government to stop harassing BRS leaders by filing false cases and instead focus on implementing six guarantees.

He addressed party leaders at Special Intensive Revision (SIR) awareness programmes in Kodangal constituency here on Friday. The former Minister charged that the Congress government had failed to fulfill the promises made during the elections. He raised questions on the poor implementation of Rythu Bandhu, loan waivers schemes, besides pension hikes, promises made to Backward Classes (BCs).

The former minister criticized the government for failing to effectively address the issues faced by farmers, women, and weaker sections of society. Crime against women, sexual assaults, and POCSO cases were increasing in the State, he stressed and expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation.

Srinivas Goud urged party workers to participate in the ‘SIR’ programme, noting that in a democracy, the vote provides the opportunity to elect a committed and visionary leadership. He expressed confidence that the BRS party would certainly come to power in the upcoming elections and that BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao would assume office as Chief Minister for a third term.

Former Minister P Sabithaindra Reddy and other senior leaders also participated in the programme.
