Hyderabad: Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation’s centralised kitchen which has been sponsored by Aurobindo Pharma Foundation at Kodur Village near Mahabubnagar, was inaugurated by Minister of Prohibition and Excise V Srinivas Goud.
SwasthyaAhara, a programme to provide free hot and nutritious breakfast to the underprivileged children of government schools was also started on the occasion. From this new kitchen, 15,000 breakfast meals through SwasthyaAhara and 5,000 lunch meals through Annapurna scheme (Rs.5 meals) will be served, a press release said.

As part of its expansion, HKMCF has established this centralized kitchen with a capacity of 20,000 meals per day at Kodur with a sponsorship of Rs.7 crore from Aurobindo Pharma Foundation to provide hot and nutritious meals to underprivileged sections of the society.
The centralized kitchen uses the latest of technologies to cook food by which rice for 1,000 people is cooked within 15 minutes and within 2 hours, tasty sambar is prepared for about 5,000 people. The kitchen also uses bio-waste for making bio-gas, the water used for cooking is treated in a RO plant, and also there is a boiler plant and gas bank along with an Effluent Treatment plant for effective waste treatment.
M.Madanmohan Reddy, Director–Aurobindo Pharma Ltd and Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, President, Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation, Telangana and others participated in the event.
