Srinivas Goud inaugurates National Sub-junior Handball tournament

Hyderabad: Sports Minister V Srinivas Goud inaugurated the National Sub-junior Handball tournament at the Saroornagar Indoor Stadium in the city on Thursday.
Handball Federation of India president A Jagan Mohan Rao and Indian Olympic Association treasurer Anandishwar Pandey were also present at the inauguration. The Minister lauded the organisers for conducting such a big tournament after the Covid-19 forced break. They assured them the Telangana Government will extend all the possible help to conduct the event smoothly.
He also asked the sports federations to come forward and conduct many such tournaments to give the city and the State a hug for sports in the country. He also revealed that the State government is promoting sports in the State in a very big way by rewarding and by implementing sports quotas in jobs.
Meanwhile, A Jagan Mohan said, “It is impossible to hold such competitions without the cooperation of the government. However, despite the Covid-19 pandemic being brought under control, there are still sporadic cases coming here and there. Special congratulations and thanks to all the state handball associations for sending their players here with confidence in the national and State handball associations and the Telangana government,” he added.
