Hyderabad: The foundation stone for Strategic Nala Development Programme (SNDP) works, being taken up with an estimated cost of Rs 12.86 crore, was laid at Erragadda by Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Thursday.
“The nala running from AG Colony to Sanath Nagar is 2,423 metres long and currently with Rs 12.86 crore, 830 metres of the nala will be strengthened.” the Minister said. He also said that due to this SNDP work, scores of families living in Erragadaa, Anand Nagar, Prem Nagar, Sultan Nagar and other colonies will be benefited. He thanked Municipal Administration and Development Minister, KT Rama Rao for sanctioning the funds.
The Minister recalled that for decades the low-lying areas in these localities were getting inundated during monsoon and their woes are finally being resolved due to the State government’s SNDP.
