SRU’s national level project Expo-Pragathi showcases over 100 innovative projects
SR University in Warangal hosted the National Level Project Expo 2K26-Pragathi, bringing together young innovators from 23 universities and colleges. Over 100 projects in robotics, AI, healthcare and smart systems were showcased by students from across South India.

Warangal: A National Level Project Expo 2K26-Pragathi hosted by SR University here on Saturday received a good response as young innovators from across South India came together to present their technological ideas and working prototypes.
The expo witnessed enthusiastic participation from 23 universities and engineering colleges, with over 100 innovative projects displayed by students. The projects covered diverse domains such as robotics, artificial intelligence, healthcare technology, smart systems and sustainable engineering solutions.
The event provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their creativity, technical expertise and problem-solving abilities, said the founder of Revalsys Technologies, Raj Samala, who inaugurated the expo.
He appreciated the innovative ideas presented by students while stressing the importance of practical learning, innovation and industry collaboration in engineering education. Canara Bank AGM (regional head) Santhi Kumar N encouraged students to focus on innovation as well as entrepreneurship.
Following a rigorous evaluation by a panel of jury members and industry experts, the first prize was awarded to the Woxsen University team for the project titled ‘Implementation of swarm robots for pattern formation using algorithms.’
The second prize was secured by SR University’s B Sathish and MD Luqman for their project ‘Gesture based emergency alert system for health monitoring.’ The third prize was awarded to the Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology team for the project ‘Supernova.’
The winners were awarded cash prizes worth up to Rs 1.5 lakh. Dean (Projects) Ch Hussaian Basha led the event with Markala Karthik Reddy and Suresh Kumar Mandala serving as co-convenors.
SRU Vice-Chancellor Deepak Garg, Registrar PV Ramana Rao, Dean (Operations and Growth) Archana Reddy and Dean (Student Welfare) AVV Sudhakar said the Project Expo was aimed at promoting innovation, strengthening research culture and encouraging entrepreneurial thinking among engineering students while enhancing collaboration between academia and industry.
