SS Rajamouli reacts on RRR clashing with ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’
Movies clashing at the box office on the same day would not affect the box office collections. Audiences would love to watch all the four films if they're good.
Hyderabad: Filmmaker SS Rajamouli feels that four big ticket films releasing on the same day wouldn’t affect much, however, it is healthy for the business to get revived.
“Movies clashing at the box office on the same day would not affect the box office collections. Audiences would love to watch all the four films if they’re good. January will see a slew of big films at the box office. The industry is currently in a bad shape. We should help each other to tide over the crucial phase,” said Rajamouli reacting to his upcoming film ‘RRR’ clashing with another big movie ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ at the box office
Both the movies are scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on January 6 (‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’) and January 7 (‘RRR’).
Reacting to the news that ‘RRR’ might take the OTT route, he said, “I make films only for theatres. My films always aimed at providing entertainment to audiences who come together to enjoy films at one place.” He further said he doesn’t differentiate actors from film industries. “I would select an actor who suits the character in my film.”
