SSC Examinations: Hindi question paper sent to centre instead of Telugu in Mancherial

Mancherial: In an embarrassing blunder, question papers for Hindi language instead of Telugu were sent to the Zilla Parishad High School (Boys) on the first day of the SSC examinations on Friday.
Officials at the exam centre were shocked when they found the Hindi language question paper instead of Telugu after opening a sealed cover containing question papers at the school. They sent back the question paper citing the swap. On receiving information about the incident, officials from the Education department arrived at the centre and made enquiries. The examination was delayed by two hours and began at 11.30 am instead of 9.30 am, forcing the students to wait in tension.
The students were allowed to appear for the examination till 1.30 pm as the officials extended the deadline by two hours.
Collector Kumar Deepak is learnt to have expressed displeasure over the incident. He instructed DEO S Yadaiah to investigate and to submit a report. Parents, however, criticized the officials for showing negligence in organizing the examinations. They demanded officials to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations.
A total of 9,189 students are appearing in 49 centres for the examinations in the district.
