Stand firm and reach the zenith: Sindhu
The star shuttler was speaking at TEDxYouth Virtual Event, organized by Suchitra Academy
Hyderabad: “A pause is not a full stop. It’s just a moment for us to take a breather, organise ourselves, reset our perspective, hold ourselves together and stand back, stand firm and reach the zenith that we have been aiming for.”
This is the advice that was given by Rio Olympics silver medalllist PV Sindhu to the young students of the Suchitra Academy while speaking at the TEDxYouth Virtual Event.
The theme of the event was: Pause and Reset the way you think. “All I want to say is that there will be times when you will feel that you can’t do it, there will be people to discourage you, challenges and struggles will pull you down. But the question is will you turn these into excuses and give up on your dreams? I could have done that!
“We need to focus on what will help us rise up after every fall.’’
Sindhu, who said the Academy was special and was like second home to her, said: “The TEDxYouth Virtual Event, 2021 will give a platform to our budding young minds to share ideas or experiences that have a potential to spark the fire of inspiration and ignite curiosity in the youth today.’’
