Stanford University lists five LVPEI scientists

Hyderabad: Five senior scientists from LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) have been listed among the top Indian researchers in a database of top-cited scientists, created by a team of scientists at Stanford University, USA, and published in the journal PLOS Biology.
From LVPEI, Founder Chair, Dr Gullapalli N Rao, senior scientist and Director Emeritus, Prof Brien Holden Eye Research Centre, Prof D.Balasubramanian, Director, Laboratory Services, Dr Savitri Sharma, visiting professor, Jill Keeffe have been featured in the database of top two percent of scientists under the discipline, Ophthalmology. Distinguished scientist and former Director, Prof Brien Holden Eye Research Centre, LVPEI, Dr S.Shivaji has been featured in the Microbiology category.
Dr Gullapalli N Rao has been ranked as the top scientist in eye research from India. Additionally, two former members of LVPEI faculty, Dr.Virender Sangwan and Dr.Santosh Honavar are also included in the list.
