Stars and their obsession with Maldives

The island nation is the current favourite vacation spot for celebs across industries

Hyderabad: Actors are not seen on film sets anymore. You won’t be able to spot them waving to their fans from their balconies either. So, where did they all go? You must know the answer to this one – Maldives. Whether it is to escape the pandemic blues or to use their break before they begin shooting again, stars have been flooding their Instagram feeds with beautiful pictures from exotic locations at the tourist paradise.

Be it Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt, Tiger Shroff-Disha Patani, Sara Ali Khan-Amrita Singh, or even Janhvi Kapoor, Maldives is the most favourite destination of these stars. Earlier, Ananya Pandey, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu and Kiara Advani were some of the Bollywood celebrities who were seen holidaying at the island nation.

And it’s not just Bollywood. A host of Hollywood and Telugu movie stars too were seen cooling off at the beautiful beaches in Maldives. Recently, Lindsay Lohan shared photos of herself on Instagram in a red swimsuit while taking a dip in the water.

Allu Sneha Reddy was also in Maldives as she shared photos with husband Allu Arjun and their family in April. The couple had celebrated their son Ayaan’s birthday at an island resort on April 3. Sneha had captioned one of her pictures, “Good times and tan lines.” Also, who can forget Samantha Akkineni and Rakul Preet Singh filling up our Insta feeds with their pretty pictures from the dream destination a couple of months ago?

While on one hand netizens are trolling these celebs for not staying home amid a surge in Covid-19 cases in the country, some fans are leaving positive comments on their pictures.
