Rajanna-Sircilla: BRS general secretary T Jeevan Reddy said that the state was reeling under drought because of conspiracies being hatched by the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. Congress government has failed to repair the two shrunken piers of Kaleshwaram project.

Though the L&T Company came forward to repair piers, Revanth Reddy refused permission anticipating that the BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao would get a good name if the project was repaired.

Jeevan Reddy made these comments while participating in Vemulawada constituency party workers meeting held in Vemulawada on Saturday.

Earlier, a majority of the farmers used to cultivate cotton in Telangana, however, the practice changed after the BRS came to power. Sowing of paddy has increased significantly with the construction of Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project. The Kaleshwaram project constructed by Chandrashekhar Rao became a role model to the nation.

Revanth Reddy, who came to power by misleading the people, betrayed all sections by not implementing poll promises. Before elections, the congress party promised to provide Rs 6,000 per acre financial assistance under the Rythu Bandhu scheme. However, it forgot about its promise after coming to power.

In order to provide corporate level education to the poor, Chandrashekhar Rao established 1000 gurukulam schools during the BRS regime, he informed and questioned what kind of development the present CM Revanth Reddy has done.

The Congress government led by Revanth Reddy was deceiving the people in the name of Prajapalana. He had been associated with the Congress party for four decades. Moreover, he played a vital role in the development of the party. However, he was also cheated by the party.
