Khammam: Stambhadri Urban Development Authority (SUDA) Chairman Bachu Vijay Kumar warned that serious action would be taken against those responsible for illegal lay-outs and ventures under the SUDA limits.
He along with Additional Collector (Local Bodies), Snehalatha Mogili held a meeting with Mandal Panchayat Officer (MPOs), DPO, Prabhakar Rao, Town Planning and SUDA officials here on Friday to review the measures to prevent unauthorised real estate ventures.
The SUDA Chairman said those planning to develop real estate ventures have to obtain prior permission from the authority. Layouts would be approved within 21 days of submitting the application through the Telangana State Building Permission Approval and Self-Certification System (TS-bPASS).
District Level Committee chaired by the District Collector and Additional Collector (Local Bodies) acting as the Convener would grant permissions for layouts. The committee would consist of R&B, Irrigation, Panchayati Raj Superintendent Engineers, Town Planning Officer and others, he said.
Vijay Kumar asked the gram panchayat secretaries to visit the villages every day to prevent unauthorised layouts. The laying of the stones and construction of the arch gates should not be done until the layouts were approved.
MPOs were asked to monitor all areas in their mandals. The details of illegal ventures should be brought to the notice of the Registrar’s office to prevent the registration of plots. Notices have to be issued to illegal ventures that came up in the past and seize the green belt space, he added.
