Khammam: The district TRS leaders have warned Congress leaders to stop making false allegations against Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, ZP Chairman Lingala Kamalraj, MLC B Lakshminarayana, SUDA Chairman B Vijay Kumar and others came down heavily on the Congress leaders’ comments against the TRS government.
“No other State in the country is implementing welfare and development programmes which the TRS government has been implementing in Telangana. But Congress leaders for the sake of media publicity are making baseless remarks against the government,” Kamalraj said.
Referring to Congress leader and Bhadrachalam MLA Podem Veeraiah’s comments against the Chief Minister during a recent meeting with Sita Rama project evacuees, he said the welfare measures launched by the government had changed the lives of farmers.
The Sita Rama Lift Irrigation Project was aimed to make agriculture lands in erstwhile Khammam fertile and thus improve the agriculture yield and income of the farmers. But Congress leaders were not able to digest the fact, the ZP Chairman noted.
MLC Lakshminarayana said the Congress MLA had never met any minister or the Chief Minister regarding constituency development and he was never available to the local public. But sadly he was making comments against the government, he noted.
They asserted that development of the State would be only possible with the TRS government and Chandrahekhar Rao. If the Congress leaders fail to stop false allegations against the government, the public would teach them a lesson, they warned.
The district TRS party office in-charge, Gundala Krishna and others were present.
