Stray dogs maul 8-year-old girl in Zaheerabad, locals demand action
An eight-year-old girl was seriously injured in Zaheerabad’s Dream India Colony after being attacked by stray dogs while playing near her home. With her parents away at work, the child was rescued by neighbours.

Sangareddy: An eight-year-old girl sustained serious injuries after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs while playing on the premises of her residence at Dream India Colony in Zaheerabad town on Friday.
The girl, Niktha, daughter of Vijay, was playing alone near her house when the incident occurred. Her parents had gone to work, leaving her at home. A group of stray dogs entered the premises and attacked her. Locals, who heard her screams, rushed to her aid and chased the dogs away.
She was immediately shifted to the government hospital in Zaheerabad, where doctors referred her to a hospital in Hyderabad for advanced treatment.
Residents expressed anger over the growing stray dog menace and urged civic authorities to relocate the dogs, claiming that multiple residents had already been attacked in the colony.
