Adilabad: Collector Sikta Patnaik instructed the officials concerned to strictly carry out the ongoing door-to-door survey to gather information of fevers and vaccination drive against Covid-19. She inspected the survey being held in Yapalguda village in Adilabad Rural mandal on Thursday.
Sikta said that the medical officers of primary health centres should be acquainted with the fever survey and vaccination. She learned about the process of vaccination by speaking to medical officer Dr Sohail at Kranthinagar in this village. She told him to enroll details of the vaccination online. She later interacted with Dr Roja Rani to find out details of the survey.
The IAS officer instructed the medical officers to provide medical kits to those who test positive for Covid-19 and to explain the procedure of using the drugs. She told them to find out details of the victims of the virus and to take steps to ensure the kin received the ex-gratia extended by the government. She stressed the need to have coordination among officials of various departments to accomplish the vaccination drive.
The Collector further told the officials of the medical and health department to administer precaution doses to the eligible. She instructed them to vaccinate those aged between 15 and 18 by collecting information relating to the youngsters from authorities of the education department. She told the medical officials to gather information of those who were yet to be vaccinated.
District Medical and Health Officer Dr Narender Rathod said that medical investigations were being held to those who show symptoms of Covid-19 and fever, besides giving medical kits to the infected. He stated that steps were taken to provide compensation to the kin of the victims of the virus. He added that precaution dose was given to 3,284 kids out of the total of 6,287 children.
