Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday asked the cadre to strive for the victory of party candidates in the Khammam-Warangal-Nalgonda and Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar graduates constituencies MLC elections.

Addressing TPCC, DCC, assembly, town and mandal office bearers in a virtual meet on Friday, he said Ramulu Naik and G Chinna Reddy, the candidates for the two constituencies, respectively, were experienced politicians with a good track record of serving people. Uttam said both had the potential to win the MLC elections.

He charged that both the TRS and the BJP had ‘commercialised’ politics. “The State government and the Modi-led government at the Centre have not fulfilled any promises made to the people. The only way to make them learn a lesson is by ensuring the victory of Congress candidates in both the MLC constituencies,” he said.

He asked the party cadre to drive a message to the employees that they would get appropriate fitment and decent hike in HRA only if they defeat the TRS and the BJP in the MLC elections.
