Khammam: Zilla Parishad Chairman Lingala Kamalraj has called upon TRS cadres to strive to improve the membership strength of the party in the district.

He launched the TRS party membership drive in Chintakani, Madhira, Yerrupalem and Bonakal mandals in Khammam district on Monday. Addressing party workers at Timminenipalem in Chintakani mandal he said people from different sections of the society were showing interest to join the TRS.

The public interest in joining the TRS party indicates their confidence in the leadership of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. The cadres should visit the villages to enroll as many members as possible during the ongoing membership drive, he said.

Stress should be laid on enrolling active members. The active members of the party would be given identity cards. TRS was the only party that cared about its cadres as the party members were offered insured coverage, Kamalraj said.

He noted that hard working cadres would get due recognition in the party and hence everyone should contribute to make the membership drive a grand success in Khammam district.

Coordinated efforts have to be made to achieve the target of enrolling 50,000 members to each Assembly constituency, he added. MPP K Purnaiah and others were present.
