Stubble burning claims life of farmer in Siddipet
A 65‑year‑old farmer died after being engulfed by flames and smoke while burning paddy stubble in his field at Yenagurthy village, Siddipet district.

Siddipet: Stubble burning led to the death of yet another farmer, Uppala Yellaiah (65) who was burnt to death at Yenagurthy village in Akaberpet-Bhumpally mandal on Saturday.
Yellaiah, who attempted to burn the paddy stubble in his paddy field on the village outskirts, died instantly as fire and smoke engulfed him, giving no chance for escape.
Despite officials’ appeal not to burn the stubble, farmers continue to resort to the practice, which is harming both the humans and soil health.
