Karimnagar: An MBA student, Kandula Ashvitha (20), died after accidentally falling into a well on the premises of her home in Kandulapalli of Manakondur mandal on Tuesday.

According to the police, Ashvitha, an MBA first-year student, was at home along with her brother Raju after their parents went for MGNREGS work. Ashvitha is said to have gone to draw water from the well when she slipped and fell. She was found in the well when Raju went near the well to wash his feet.

A shocked Raju raised an alarm, following which neighbours rushed to the spot and brought the girl out of the well. However, she had died by then.

Based on a complaint lodged by her mother Swapna, police registered a case and began investigation. The body was shifted to Karimnagar hospital for postmortem.
