Hyderabad: A joint platform of various student organisations in Telangana has called for a round table conference on Friday at the Somajiguda Press Club to expose what they term a major conspiracy and scam by the Congress government led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in transferring prime industrial land in Hyderabad to private individuals.
Addressing a news conference, BRSV state president Gellu Srinivas Yadav alleged that thousands of acres of valuable land worth over Rs.5 lakh crore, originally allotted for creating industrial infrastructure and generating employment in Hyderabad city by successive governments, were now being handed over to private persons and corporate entities by the Congress regime.
“The land was taken from farmers and allotted to industries solely to generate jobs for Telangana youth. Instead, Revanth Reddy’s government is indulging in a massive scam by diverting these lands to select private players. We will not remain silent. This round table is being organised to awaken Telangana youth and build a united struggle against this betrayal,” Srinivas Yadav said.
The round table meeting will be attended by representatives of student organisations including SFI, PDSU (V), PDSU, PDSU (G), MSF (V), TGS Shakthi, Adivasi Vidyarthi Sangam and several other organisations.
