Students clash at Kakatiya University over sharing leftover chicken

A clash broke out between MBA and economics first-year students at a hostel in Kakatiya University, Hanamkonda, over sharing leftover food. Two students suffered head injuries, and police deployed a picket to prevent further trouble

Hanamkonda: An incident of students clashing violently with each other at Kakatiya University here came to light recently.

It was said that some MBA first-year students and economics first-year students entered into heated arguments on Sunday night over the sharing of chicken left after lunch at a hostel in the university. The arguments escalated, and they attacked each other with sticks and blows.


Two students were said to have suffered bleeding head injuries and were treated at a hospital. It was not clear whether cases were registered against the students. A police picket was set up at the hostel to prevent any untoward incident. A video clip of the incident went viral on social media.
