Hyderabad: At least one person was seriously injured when two groups of students clashed at Gandipet ground during a cricket match on Tuesday.

According to reports, two groups of students were playing cricket match at Gandipet ground when an argument over some issue erupted during the game. The students then shoved each other and later attacked with bats and wickets, which caused injuries to a few of them.

One of the students, Suman sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital. His condition was stated to be critical.

The Narsingi police registered a case and are investigating.
