Students from Telangana model school take to streets for teachers in Asifabad
Pointing out that the school had just two teachers as against the sanctioned strength of 17, the students took out a rally from the school to Asifabad bus stand in the district centre.
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Students of a Telangana Model School staged a dharna complaining that they were losing academically due to insufficient number of teachers in Asifabad on Thursday.
Pointing out that the school had just two teachers as against the sanctioned strength of 17, the students took out a rally from the school to Asifabad bus stand in the district centre.
They then staged a sit-in at a junction near the bus stand. They raised slogans requesting the government to recruit teachers for the school.
The students said that they were unable to continue the learning process due to lack of adequate teaching staff at the school for over a week.
They stated that they would not perform well in examinations and urged the government to take steps to ensure justice for them.
Students studying from Class VI to Intermediate took part in the protest.
