Medak: School and college students, along with their parents, staged a protest on the Medak–Chegunta road at Ambajipet village in Chinna Shankarampet mandal on Monday, demanding adequate RTC bus services on the route.

The students complained that they were unable to reach schools and colleges on time due to insufficient RTC services during peak hours. They also alleged that the few buses operating on the route were not halting at their village bus stops since the vehicles were already full when they reached Ambajipet.

Traffic movement was disrupted for over an hour as the protesters continued their agitation. Sub-Inspector Narayana, who arrived at the spot with his team, spoke to the RTC Divisional Manager over the phone and urged him to resolve the issue. He later convinced the students to withdraw their protest, citing inconvenience to commuters.
